CONTENT STRATEGIST

(Position employees to reside in Denver, Colorado)


The Law as a Business arm of ElderCounsel is looking for a Content Strategist to join our growing team. The focus of this role is to create content for our marketing services products. A successful Content Strategist will create top-notch content for our attorney clients. They will work with our marketing sales and account management teams to understand the client's needs, execute, and deliver products in a timely and professional manner.

We are seeking a Content Strategist to help us create various products from our new marketing offerings. You'll be on the front lines alongside your assigned Account Manager, taking meetings with clients, developing content, scheduling content, and reporting on the progress of various projects. You'll need to be comfortable speaking to clients about their marketing plans and presenting deliverables.


What you'll be doing:

Essential duties and responsibilities for a Content Strategist include the following. Other areas of responsibility may be assigned as needed.

  • Participate in client calls in partnership with the marketing sales team
  • Execute and deliver marketing services to our clients, including:
    • Customizing content
    • Creating customized content for websites
    • Copywriting for SEM and SEO
    • Publishing to blogs and social media accounts
  • Attend weekly internal calls with members of the creative and sales teams
  • Project manage assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of all services
  • Keep internal creative team updated and aware of changes, requests and deadlines
  • Service multiple clients concurrently, meeting all deadlines
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all client interactions via CRM (Salesforce)
  • In alignment with business objectives, write content about a variety of topics for multiple platforms
  • Edit and proofread owned and contributed content for accuracy, organization, grammar, mechanics, spelling, and cohesion with brand voice
  • Write original headlines and concise body copy to inform and engage both consumer and B2B audiences
  • Follow trends in the legal industry and help communicate them in engaging ways
  • Familiarity with AP style and SEO practice
  • Provide strategic feedback or edits to teammates on content projects and deliverables that are helpful and actionable

What skills will you need?

First and foremost, you will need 1-2 years' experience in a marketing department with an emphasis on content creation. You'll be organized, detail-oriented, and you've never missed a deadline. You'll have excellent copywriting skills, writing skills and a desire to learn more. Our ideal Content Writer will have top-notch communication skills, and won't be afraid to share their opinions and feedback on client calls.


You'll be working from your home office so you'll need to be able to structure and prioritize your time effectively and demonstrate an ability to produce results without direct supervision. That said, you will be connected to the rest of the team via software so we're only a click away.


Additional desirable skills:

  • Minimum of two years of college with Associates degree or on-the-job training equivalent of a four-year degree
  • 1-2 years' experience in marketing department
  • Must be self-motivated and a master multi-tasker who crushes day-to-day interactions but understands and takes action on road mapping and planning ahead
  • Efficient in Adobe Creative
  • Knowledge in WordPress
  • Must be organized, with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional customer service skills
  • Is highly motivated and demonstrates superior self-control and discipline
  • Professional and confident demeanor
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Not required, but preferred:
    • Working experience with Salesforce
    • Experience or knowledge of law firm operations and or small business operations
    • Experience with client generation and business development strategies

  • Ability to maintain a quiet and appropriate work environment, free of distractions during the workday
  • Must be able to work closely with the team in a virtual environment, utilizing technologies to communicate and make yourself accessible.
  • Be flexible to assist with other duties and tasks as needed.
  • Occasional travel required for company events.

Work Schedule

This job will require you to work from your home office in Denver, Colorado, weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.
